Welcome to Shadoze. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shadoze mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Lingying Zhilian (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

2. Description of the Service

Shadoze is an AI-first social product that allows users to create AI "shadow" personas, let shadows interact to evaluate compatibility, chat with your own shadow, and connect with matched users through direct messaging.

AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or reflective of real human behavior.

3. Your Account

• You may register using email verification, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
• You may only maintain one account per person.
• You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Impersonate others or submit false information.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users.
• Post illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or objectionable content.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service or its AI systems.
• Manipulate AI systems to produce harmful or misleading output.
• Circumvent security features or access restrictions.

5. AI-Generated Content

• Shadow responses and match evaluations are AI-generated estimates, not definitive assessments of personality or compatibility.
• You should not rely on AI content for important personal, legal, or financial decisions.
• We are not responsible for actions you take based on AI-generated suggestions.

6. User Content

• You retain ownership of your submitted content.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content solely for providing and improving the Service.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

• The Service may offer free and paid tiers.
• Payment is processed through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Refund policies follow the respective platform's procedures.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by Lingying Zhilian (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. The name "Shadoze" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use our intellectual property without written permission.

10. Account Termination

• By you: Delete your account at any time through the in-app feature or by contacting hi@shadoze.ai. See our Account Deletion page for details.
• By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, AI accuracy, match quality, or specific social outcomes.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Lingying Zhilian (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lingying Zhilian (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts in Beijing, China.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
